Hello all, and congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Peters on their recent nuptial. I've been informed that there is a Texas de Brazil near the location of the honeymoon, so congratulations for that as well. I'm serious guys, if you are anywhere close to one of those things and you don't seize the opportunity of "all you can eat meat," you are not my friend.
Quick update on my July goals: I feel ready for my test on Saturday and have remained pizza free. This post puts me a sixth of the way toward my quota and I haven't done much in the way of pushups, so I'd better get posting and pushing up.
As you're likely growing tired of the satire, I won't say much about my diet over the last two weeks. My new approach has been moderately helpful, but with that said I have to mention the unbelievable hard roll sandwich that I, along with Mr. V and his grill truck, created at the BirdnPetes wedding - chicken breast, white American cheese, meat hot sauce, mustard...and a filleted white hot. For those of you scoring at home, that's 3 different animals (at least), plus cheese - a combo that would make Nick Tahou weep, and one certainly worthy of the pun titling this post. DO TRY THIS AT HOME.
So I've asked a few times for your ideas on what to blog about, but with little cooperation on your part, I run the risk of being uninteresting every time I post. At this rate I'll never reach my goal of 5 more this month, so today I'm going to go a bit off the beaten path. I am very interested in the topic of nature vs. nurture as it pertains to athletic ability. I have my own opinion, but first I want to know what you think! I feel it's an avenue for a pretty stimulating discussion if you participate. I've located a brief research article that provides a little background on the subject. Please read it if you have a few minutes, and make some comments, bitches!
Bushido is now featuring a song of the day. First up:
Grab some water, put this baby on repeat, and crush your legs as hard I did yesterday:
4 x 5 back squat
5 x 15 leg press
5 x 10 lying leg curl
Met-con: 4 rounds: 20 box jumps, 10 alternating KB bent over row, 10 hanging leg raise
